Engineered for safe, permanent access in challenging environments, Fibretek GRP cat ladders are a cost-effective and long lasting alternative to traditional steel ladders.
Construction Characteristics:
The ladder consists of GRP stringers, rungs, and a safety cage, designed for maximum lateral stiffness. The rungs can be treated with a non-slip coating for improved grip, and connections utilize a strong tapered DMC moulded plug system.
Design Consideration:
Fibretek cat ladders are custom-made for easy installation, with optional manufacturing drawings for construction guidance. Ladder sections can be spliced together for lengths exceeding 6.0 meters.
Rest Platforms:
In compliance with South African law, rest platforms are available for ladders over 8 meters in height.
Safety Cages:
For ladders stretching beyond 2-3 meters, a safety cage made from GRP is available, featuring moulded hoops on vertical channels secured with stainless steel fasteners, and shipped disassembled to minimize shipping costs.
Exit Handrail
Our optional exit handrail is designed for safety and ease of transition from the ladder to the platform.
